Music Makers is very excited to present Simon Millerd and Kim Albert at All Saints by-the-Sea this Thursday, 7:30pm Simon Millerd grew up on Salt Spring and lived in Montreal for 11 years before returning back to the island, where he plays trumpet and piano in many local groups. He often plays solo piano in church at All Saints by-the-Sea on Sunday morning, performing original pieces or improvising spontaneously after the sermon. This is his first time playing a full length solo piano concert. Kim Albert grew up in a household in Quebec full of the traditional fiddle tunes of her self-taught dad and has been performing music since childhood. Her haunting, pared-down folk songs are steeped in love and loss. She crafts music as mindful meditation in a daily practice of acceptance, self-exp
