Artcraft Showcase Exhibition ― At the Table: The Architecture of Control
At the Table: The Architecture of Control is a large-scale portrait installation by Salt Spring Island artist Jeannette Sirois, examining the legal, medical, bureaucratic, and religious systems through which queer and trans lives have been classified, regulated, and governed. Through monumental coloured-pencil portraits, personal testimony, and installation elements, the exhibition makes visible the structures of institutional control while centring the presence and voices of those most affected. Sirois is a Canadian visual artist working in large-scale portrait drawing and research-creation. At the Table is an ongoing touring exhibition, travelling through British Columbia through 2029.
